Delivery man, 17-year-old boy shot in Overtown, police say

Police searching for up to 3 men

MIAMI – A 25-year-old delivery man and a 17-year-old boy were shot Tuesday afternoon in Miami's Overtown neighborhood, authorities said.

The shooting was reported just after 2:30 p.m. in the parking lot of a convenience store in the area of Northwest Fifth Avenue and Seventh Street.

Miami police said the teen was leaving the store when a silver Nissan with dark-tinted windows pulled up and someone opened fire. 

The teen and the delivery man, who was driving a Frito-Lay truck, were both struck by bullets. 

Both victims were taken to Jackson Memorial Hospital's Ryder Trauma Center, where they both are stable.

No arrests have been made. Authorities said they are searching for up to three men involved in the shooting.

A motive is unknown.
