Man threatens to shoot children during burglary, deputies say

Broward Sheriff's Office detectives search for armed burglar

DEERFIELD BEACH, Fla. – A burglar dressed in black pointed a gun at an 8-month-old baby girl and a 4-year-old girl, and he threatened to shoot them if their parents didn't give him money, Broward Sheriff's Office deputies said Tuesday.

The victims said the tall burglar broke into their Deerfield Beach home in the 500 block of 44th Street about 11:30 p.m. Friday, BSO spokeswoman Gina Carter said.

Deputies released a sketch of the gunman who took an iPhone and a small amount of cash after hitting the children's father in the face with a black revolver.

The armed man entered the home and dragged the bleeding victim to his bedroom, where his wife and their two children were sleeping.

Detective Armando Enrique was asking anyone who recognizes the man to call him at 954-321-4322 or Broward County Crime Stoppers at 954-493-TIPS.
