SANFORD, Fla. – A 3-month-old girl from Seminole County who was abducted by her father Sunday has been found safe, state officials said.

Sanford police said 31-year-old Tedrick Mazion took Na'tori Mazion from her home in the 400 block of West Seminole Boulevard around 8:30 a.m. Police said the girl's mother tried to stop Mazion, but he fled with the girl in a 2017 red Nissan Altima.

Police said Mazion has not been involved in Na'tori's life since her birth. Officials had issued an Amber Alert for Na'tori after her abduction.

Police said a friend of Mazion returned the child to her mother sometime Sunday. Police are questioning the friend, they said.
