Thieves steal $5,000 worth of cosmetics from Weston drugstore

Group of women believed to have targeted other stores in nearby cities

WESTON, Fla. – The Broward Sheriff's Office is searching for a group of women who stole $5,000 worth of cosmetics from a drugstore in Weston.

The theft occurred around 6 p.m. Jan. 16 at the Walgreens at 199 Weston Road.

Deputies said the five women raided the cosmetics aisle, stuffing handfuls of products into their purses.

Detectives believe the same group of women targeted other Walgreens stores in nearby cities.

Anyone with information about the thieves' identities is asked to call Detective Daniella Quinones at 954-626-4008 or Broward Crime Stoppers at 954-493-8477. Anonymous tips that lead to an arrest are eligible for a reward of up to $3,000.
