MIAMI – A 27-year-old woman was shot Tuesday afternoon in Miami's Liberty City neighborhood, authorities said.
Kiara Delva, a spokeswoman for the Miami Police Department, said officers were flagged down shortly after 3:30 p.m. in the area of Northwest Seventh Avenue and Northwest 56th Street.
Paramedics transported the victim to Jackson Memorial Hospital, where she was listed in stable condition.
Delva said the victim was driving a gray Nissan Maxima when she was shot. Photos from the scene showed the car riddled with bullet holes at an Exxon gas station.
People at a nearby Auto Zone told Local 10's Janine Stanwood they didn't hear or see the shooting.
No other details were immediately released.
