At least 2 wounded in shooting at District 3 nightclub

Witnesses say shooting stemmed from argument about stolen motorcycle

MIAMI ā€“ At least two peopleĀ wereĀ shot outside a nightclub in Miami.

The shooting occurred early Thursday at District 3 on Northwest 25th Avenue.

"I was about to take a picture with Ball Greezy and Tommie Lee and chaos just broke out and everyone just went running everywhere, scattering," witness Deonta Elder said.Ā

Elder saidĀ rapper Ball Greezy was recording a music video inside the club when he heard the sound of gunshots.Ā Ā

"The commotion, it was real and everybody was running and IĀ was just trying to duck for cover, too," he said.Ā

Elder said he wentĀ outside to find that his car had been hit multiple times by bullets. The bullets struck the hood of his carĀ and shatteredĀ aĀ window.

"It happened out here. IĀ guess they were ducking and hiding behind my car," he said.Ā

Police marked shell casings on the ground and were seen speaking to witnesses in the parking lot of the nightclub.

Two gunshot victims arrived at Jackson Memorial Hospital's Ryder Trauma Center a short time later.

A motive for the shooting was not immediately known, but witnesses told Local 10 News reporter Parker Branton it stemmed from an argument about a stolen motorcycle.
