Police investigate double shooting in Opa-locka

OPA-LOCKA, Fla. – Two people were rushed to a hospital after a shooting in Opa-locka. 

The shooting happened near Northwest 22nd Avenue and Northwest 139th Street.

Local 10 News spoke to a man who was inside his home when he heard the gunshots.

"Story was some guys were looking for them, they (were) in the car watching them, they hit the corner, turned their backs and that's when these guys (ran) up on them," Errol Wilson said.

Wilson said the victims were friends.

"As far as I know they never did nothing to nobody," he said.

Wilson said one of the victims was alert and conscious, but the other appeared to be blacking out. Their conditions were not immediately known.
