Detectives believe Jaron Brown might have been involved in other shootings

The shooting was reported at 1:30 p.m. June 27 in the 2800 block of Southwest 55th Avenue.

Authorities said a man was injured in the shooting. His identity has not been released.

A deputy spotted a Honda Civic speeding away from the scene and tried to pull over the vehicle, but the driver wouldn't stop, authorities said.

Deputies said a gun was thrown from the car and the driver eventually stopped in Hollywood.

Authorities said everyone inside the car fled from authorities, except for Brown.

Brown was taken into custody for allegedly fleeing from deputies and reckless driving.

He was arrested again on Friday on an attempted first-degree murder charge.

Detectives are looking into whether the recovered gun or Brown played a role in other shootings, including the fatal shooting of Patrice Nunnally.

Nunnally, 28, was killed April 13 while she was in a car with her boyfriend and daughter in the 4500 block of Southwest 22nd Street in West Park.

Anyone with information about Brown and any shootings he might have been involved in is asked to call Homicide Detective John Curcio at 954-321-4212 or Broward Crime Stoppers at 954-493-TIPS.
