4 young males rob women leaving Deerfield Beach bar

Incident reported near Kahuna Bar & Grill

DEERFIELD BEACH, Fla. ā€“ The Broward Sheriff's Office is searching for four young males who attacked and robbed two women as they were leaving a bar in Deerfield Beach.

The incident was reported just after 2 a.m. April 29 near Kahuna Bar & Grill at 249 NE 21st Ave.

Deputies said the women were walking home from the bar, when two young males jumped out of a car that contained two other young males.

Authorities said the thieves pointed handguns at the victims and demanded their belongings.

One of the women was grabbed by the wrist and pushed to the ground, but she was able to get up and run away with her stuff, deputies said.

Deputies said the thieves grabbed the other woman by her hair, pushed her to the ground and got away with her backpack, which contained her cash, phone and other personal items.

Detectives believe the thieves are in their teens or early 20s.

One of them was captured on surveillance video about 50 minutes after the robbery at a Chevron Gas Station in Hollywood.

The robbers were riding in a green, four-door vehicle.

Anyone with information about their identities is asked to call Detective David Agusti at 954-321-4332. Anonymous tips can be made to Broward Crime Stoppers at 954-493-TIPS. A reward of up to $3,000 is offered for information that leads to an arrest.
