Drugs found in car of Florida City woman accused of dealing cocaine, authorities say

Crack cocaine cookies also found in suspect's purse, according to deputies

MONROE COUNTY, Fla. ā€“ Drugs were found in the car of a woman who was arrested Tuesday on a warrant for dealing cocaine in Monroe County, authorities said.

Monroe County Sheriff's Office spokeswoman Becky Herrin saidĀ Naauh'Mocquaii Richmond-Jones, 39, was arrested after being pulled over in her black Volkswagen at 6:15 p.m. Tuesday at the 55-mile markerĀ of the Overseas Highway.

Herrin said a check on the vehicle's license tag revealed that the registered owner was wanted for two counts of selling cocaine and use of a two-way communications device to facilitate a felony.

Herrin said Richmond-Jones gave deputies permission to search her car and told them that there was cocaine in the center console.

Authorities said Richmond-Jones admitted to bringing cocaine into the Florida Keys with the intention to sell it.

Herrin said seven small plastic bags with cocaine inside were found in the center console.

She said deputies also found two crack cocaine cookies in Richmond-Jones's purse.

Another woman who was inside the vehicle was released without being charged withĀ any crime.

Richmond-Jones was booked into jail on the outstanding warrants, as well as for charges ofĀ possession with intent to sell cocaine and possession of drug paraphernalia.
