According to a Boynton Beach police report, a woman was sitting in a Chevrolet Cavalier parked in front of a home on Northwest 12th Avenue when a gunman, later identified as Johnson, opened the passenger door, got in the front passenger seat and ordered her to drive. She refused and got out of the car, so Johnson moved into the driver's seat and drove away, police said.

The woman, who was six months pregnant, called 911, and police soon pursued the car west on Northwest 12th Avenue.

As the car passed a police cruiser, the pursuing officer heard a gunshot. Police later found a bullet hole in the rear driver's side door of her patrol cruiser.

Police said Johnson refused to stop the car and continued swerving in and out of lanes. The car eventually jumped a curb and struck a power pole in the 1000 block of Northwest Fifth Street, spinning out of control and coming to a rest in Barton Memorial Park.

According to the police report, Johnson got out of the car, put his hands in the air and then ran away. Police said Johnson led officers on a foot chase, but was caught a short time later.

"You will see me again," Johnson told officers, according to the report. "Next time it won't be good for you."

According to the report, Johnson also said, "You guys killed my brother and I wish I would have killed one of you guys. If I can, I'm gonna kill 18 more of you."

Police said they found a gun with an empty magazine and chamber in the car.
