PEMBROKE PINES, Fla. – A suspect was taken into custody Thursday following a brief chase in Pembroke Pines, authorities said.
The chase ended in the area of Northwest 93rd Avenue and Third Street.

Pembroke Pines police said the suspect was wanted on assault and battery charges.
The suspect wasn't armed, police said.
People are asked to stay away from the area as authorities work to process the scene.
No other details were immediately released.
