Marlon Herrera, 20, identified after Ring doorbell camera captures suspect

MIAMI – A suspected serial burglar in southwest Miami-Dade County has been arrested.

Marlon Herrera, 20, was arrested Tuesday on charges of burglary and criminal mischief.

Herrera is accused of burglarizing a home on Southwest 65th Street last month, smashing the glass to a backyard French door to get inside.

The home's motion-activated Ring doorbell camera recorded the man knocking on the front door moments before the burglary.

According to a police report, Herrera was identified as the man who broke into the home after someone recognized the man from seeing him on Local 10 News.

Police said Herrera confessed to his involvement.
