Woman killed during robbery in southwest Miami-Dade, police say

Reward up to $3,000 offered for information leading to arrest

MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. – Miami-Dade police are searching for the person who killed a 65-year-old woman over the weekend in southwest Miami-Dade County.

The incident was reported just after 8 p.m. Saturday in the area of Southwest 112th Terrace and 128th Court.

Police said the victim, Vicki Feeley, was injured in her driveway after a struggle ensued between her and the robber.

She was taken to a hospital, where she later died.

Some people in the community said Feeley was run over by the robber, who was driving a gray pickup truck, but police said those details are not confirmed.

"I heard it last night because the two homicide detectives knocked on my door and asked for information, and I was shocked as anyone would be," Neil Schneider, who lives in the neighborhood, said. "It makes me nervous. I live with my mom, and my wife and my two daughters, and I don't want think that going into my driveway I may be the victim of a crime."

Officers have been interviewing neighbors and passing out flyers in the hope of finding someone who witnessed the altercation or have any information.

Anyone with information is asked to call Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers at 305-471-TIPS. A reward of up to $3,000 is offered for information that leads to an arrest.
