Deputies said Joseph had earlier crashed into a Coconut Creek Police officer’s cruiser, and then was clocked driving at speeds of more than 100 miles per hour on I-95 in his black Honda sedan

When they finally forced Joseph to stop, deputies reported he said that “flakka made him do it."

Investigators said they later found three baggies containing flakka in the car.

Joseph was transported to the Martin County Jail and is charged with fleeing and eluding, driving with a suspended driver’s license, aggravated battery on a law enforcement officer, drug possession, and leaving the scene of a crash with damage.

The Coconut Creek officer was not believed to be badly hurt.
