False bomb threat prompts evacuation of Pembroke Pines Social Security office

Angel Rodriguez Solano faces charge of falsely reporting bomb

PEMBROKE PINES, Fla. ā€“ A Social Security office in Pembroke Pines was evacuated Wednesday morning as a precaution after someone called in a bomb threat.

Police said officials at the office at 500 N. Hiatus Rd. believed the person who made the threat to have a mental disability and that he may not have not have realized the threat was credible.

Angel Rodriguez Solano was later arrested on a charge of falsely reporting a bomb. Police said he threatened to blow up the building because they owed him $2,200.

The investigation is ongoing.
