VIDEO: Elderly Florida woman arrested after hit and run; drives off with man on hood

PALM COAST, Fla. – A 76-year-old Florida woman is facing serious charges after deputies say she was involved in a hit and run accident, drove off with a man on the hood of her SUV and it was all caught on camera.

Flagler County Sheriff’s deputies say the 76-year-old had been involved in a fender bender with another driver, but when she tried to drive away, he jumped onto the hood of her SUV because he said she would not stop.

Traffic camera video was rolling the moment she sped off and the other driver can be seen hanging onto her hood.

Deputies say Cheryl Henderson drove about two miles at 50 miles an hour before a witness forced her off the road.

Henderson told officers the other driver jumped onto her hood, but he said he had to, to save his life.

Henderson was arrested and charged with leaving the scene of a crash and aggravated battery with a deadly weapon.

She is out of jail on $20,000 bond.
