ORLANDO, Fla. – A dangerous scene on the water lead to a heroic rescue by Florida deputies on Tuesday.
Authorities with the Marine Unit responded to a call about a boat that was spinning in circles on Lake Dias in Volusia County.
Marine deputies took a closer look and saw that a man was unconscious on the boat.
Deputies used their boats to bump the wayward vessel into some trees and then one of the deputies dove on to the out-of-control boat.
He was able to get the vessel to stop going around in circles, then deputies were able to rescue the operator who was suffering from a medical condition.
The man who was rescued is expected to make a full recovery.
