Downed power lines cause traffic delays in Pembroke Pines

PEMBROKE PINES, Fla. – Pembroke Pines police are urging people to avoid the area of Northwest 129th Avenue and Northwest 10th Street because of downed power lines.

The view from Sky 10 showed large plumes of smoke coming off a pole power and transformer.

Police said Florida Power and Light has been notified about the downed lines near the Pembroke Pines YMCA Aquatic Center.
