PEMBROKE PINES, Fla. – Detectives are investigating a crash Saturday that left a police officer injured while riding a motorcycle in Pembroke Pines.
Officers closed Sheridan Street at 136th Avenue. The crash was at Interstate 75. Employees at the nearby Dunkin Donuts said they saw a man pulling the officer from underneath the car.
"They took off his police stuff and then they started to do CPR, chest compressions," said Julie Sanchez, a witness.
Fire rescue personnel took the officer to Memorial Regional Hospital in Hollywood where he remained on Saturday afternoon.
Several Pembroke Pines Police Department officers remained outside of the hospital.
