Officer injured in Pembroke Pines crash

PEMBROKE PINES, Fla. ā€“ Detectives are investigating a crash Saturday that left aĀ police officer injured while riding a motorcycle in Pembroke Pines.Ā 

Officers closed Sheridan Street at 136th Avenue. The crash was atĀ Interstate 75. Employees at the nearby Dunkin Donuts said they saw a man pulling the officer from underneath the car.Ā 

"They took off his police stuff and then they started to do CPR, chest compressions," said Julie Sanchez, a witness.Ā Ā 

Fire rescue personnel took the officer to Memorial Regional Hospital in Hollywood where he remained on Saturday afternoon.Ā Ā 

Several Pembroke Pines Police Department officers remained outside of the hospital.Ā
