Woman pulls over Fla. police officer

Driver says officer was speeding

MIAMI – A Miami driver turned the tables on a police officer by pulling him over after she said she observed him driving above the speed limit.

According to WPLG-TV, the incident happened on I-95 at NW 8th St. The woman, identified as Claudia Castillo, recorded the entire event and uploaded the footage to YouTube.

She said she flashed her lights and honked her horn to get the officer to stop. When he finally pulled over, Castillo used her cellphone to record the interaction.

Castillo claims she was driving 80 mph and could not catch up to the officer.

"I don't know how fast I was going, but I can tell you this, 'I'm on the way to work right now,'" the officer responded. "I don't believe I was speeding."

The officer would go on to apologize for allegedly speeding.

Miami-Dade police issued a statement about the incident, saying they "will have immediate command staff investigate the matter, once the officer and citizen are identified. The appropriate course of action will be taken at that point."
