A Monroe County Sheriff's Office road patrol sergeant found the 43-year-old bicyclist on the side of the road. FHP Corporal David Riso determined Mondzioch was riding her bicycle southbound in the northbound bike lane of the highway.

Riso believes a driver who was heading northbound struck her and knocked her off her bicycle. She died at the scene.
