NORTH MIAMI BEACH, Fla. – A car crash involving a police officer shut down an intersection Tuesday afternoon in North Miami Beach, authorities said.
The crash was at the intersection of Northeast 19th Avenue and 163rd Street.

According to the North Miami Beach Police Department, the officer required medical attention. A spokesperson for the department wrote about 6:40 p.m. that the officer was released from the hospital and the driver of the other vehicle didn't report injuries.
