Federal agents raid Weston home

A division of ICE searched a residential home in Weston; reason remains unclear

Weston, Fla. – Special agents from U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement executed a criminal search warrant in Weston.

Late Thursday morning, Homeland Security Investigations agents entered a home off  Lantana Drive inside The Islands residential community in Weston, Florida.

The raid was part of a large-scale child exploitation investigation, officials said. Several occupants were questioned.

HSI is one of the two primary divisions of ICE and has wide, sweeping jurisdiction. According to its website, the division is a “vital U.S. asset in combating criminal organizations illegally exploiting America's travel, trade, financial and immigration systems.”
