ANCHORAGE, Alaska – Federal agents in Alaska reviewed evidence Sunday afternoon that were seized from the Esteban Santiago’s home in Anchorage.
Santiago is the gunman who shot and killed five people on Friday inside a baggage claim area at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport, authorities said.
Six others were treated with gunshot wounds.
Authorities said Santiago had told them that his mind was being controlled and that the government had forced him to watch ISIS videos.
Those who know Santiago have also been interviewed by authorities.
Perette Carter, who is a neighbor of Santiago, said she was shocked to learned about Friday’s shooting.
"We'd be out in the alleyway sometimes, getting firewood, and he could have just shot everybody up," Carter said.
