Miami Mayor Suarez says no more warnings

Miami Mayor Francis Suarez held a media briefing Friday at Miami’s City Hall to discuss the latest information relating to COVID-19 and the city. Suarez said there will no longer be warnings before giving civil citations to people not wearing masks in public and other places where masks are mandatory.

“This week there will be enforcement and civil citations being given out.” Violators will received $100 fines for not following proper COVID-19 protocol such as wearing a mask in public.

Suarez also said that the the state is prepared to send the city up to 2,000 nurses if necessary.
