Miami and Fort Lauderdale are the second most pampered cities in America

Miami/Fort Lauderdale came in second only to Las Vegas, Nevada. Third on the list is Tampa.

MIAMI – It seems like South Florida is topping many lists so far in 2021 — both good and not-so-good. This time, Miami and Fort Lauderdale have been called the second most pampered cities in America, according to new consumer report findings.

According to Groupon, there is a resurgence in Americans purchasing more health, beauty, and wellness deals than ever before — topping pre-COVID levels for the first time.

While participation in beauty and wellness activities is trending upward in almost all major cities, there are a few cities that stand out as “the most pampered cities in America.”

Low and behold, coming in at No. 2 on the list is Miami/Fort Lauderdale. This means people in Miami and Fort Lauderdale have purchased more massages, haircuts, manicures, pedicures, waxings, facials, botox, teeth whitening, and tanning sessions than in any other market on a per capita basis.

According to Groupon, the findings also show that Groupon customers’ most wanted beauty and wellness activities include pampering themselves at the spa (67%), enhancing their mental wellness (61%), and beating their quarantine 15-pound weight gain (55%).

The top 10 most pampered cities per capita according to Groupon are, in order:

  1. Las Vegas
  2. Miami/Fort Lauderdale
  3. Tampa
  4. Phoenix
  5. Denver
  6. San Diego
  7. Orlando
  8. Dallas
  9. Cleveland
  10. Houston
