MIRAMAR, Fla. – A passerby captured cellphone video Monday night of a man walking around with a gun following a car crash in Miramar.
The incident occurred around 6:15 p.m. in the area of State Road 7 and Miramar Parkway.
Miramar police confirmed that the man got out of his car with a few weapons and began to jump on several vehicles.
Police said he then began to walk west on Miramar Parkway while holding a gun in his hands.
The cellphone footage shows an officer pointing a gun at the man while ordering him to put down his weapon.
Police said the man initially refused orders, but after more commands, finally put down his gun.
The man was transported to a local hospital due to lacerations he sustained from the crash.
It’s unclear whether the man will face charges or be hospitalized under Florida’s Baker Act.
