MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. – Miami-Dade police are investigating after a woman was killed in a construction accident Thursday morning.
The incident occurred at a Publix that is under construction at 11437 Bird Road.
Sky 10 was above the scene just before 9:15 a.m. as a yellow tarp covered the victim’s body.
Numerous marked and unmarked police vehicles were at the scene and crime scene tape blocked off the area in front of the building.
Police would not immediately confirm exactly how the woman died, but said her death was the result of an industrial accident.
Miami-Dade police have also confirmed that their homicide division is investigating the death at this time.
No other details were immediately released by police.
