MIAMI – Police are investigating after a pickup truck was involved in a collision with a scooter before striking the side of a building in Miami Thursday morning.
Sky 10 was above the area of West Flagler Street and 29th Avenue around 7:15 a.m. as the truck appeared to be wedged between a fence and the side of a building that houses a UniVista.
A man who lives nearby told Local 10 News that he heard a loud bang around 5 a.m. that shook his home.
A spokesman from the Miami Police Department confirmed that the driver of the pickup truck remained at the scene.
He said a man in his late 20s who was riding the scooter was taken to a hospital with serious injuries, however he is stable.
It’s unclear which driver was at fault.
