Bicyclist hit by Brightline train in Miami Shores, cops say

A victim was transported to Jackson Memorial Hospital after an apparent collision with a train on Wednesday.

MIAMI SHORES, Fla. – A bicyclist was rushed to Jackson Memorial Hospital on Wednesday afternoon after police say he was hit by a Brightline train in Miami Shores.

It happened near Northeast 6th Avenue and 92nd Street, where authorities blocked off the area.

A bicycle was left behind at the scene in bad shape.

Neighbors said the victim may have been a juvenile, though that hasn’t been confirmed by police.
