Carjacking suspect crashes during police pursuit in Broward

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. ā€“ Officers arrested a carjacking suspect on Thursday in Broward County after a pursuit that ended with him crashing into a pole and cutting a neighborhoodā€™s power.

According to Fort Lauderdale Police, a carjacking originated out of Pompano Beach containing one person inside of the vehicle.

Police say the suspect led Broward Sheriffā€™s Office deputies and police on a chase before the suspect bailed out of a white sedan.

That person has been taken into custody at the bailout scene near the 600 block of N.W. 16th Avenue.
