Home video catches sound of shots fired in Homestead, teen critically injured

HOMESTEAD, Fla. ā€“ Ring video captured the sounds of a drive-by shooting that severely injured a teenager Thursday night in Homestead.

Thereā€™s also the sound of commotion across the street. In the corner of the camera, a couple just returning home from shopping can be seen running inside their house to take cover.

Itā€™s their camera thatā€™s picking up the mayhem.

Neighbors told Local 10 News that the suspects drove off at normal speed after the shooting and turned south about a block east of the scene.

The shooting happened off of Mowry Drive and 190th Avenue.

A 17-year-old is in critical condition after being airlifted to Jackson South Trauma Center.

One neighbor who rushed over to help said the teen was shot in the head by his temple.

On Friday, a glass repair company on the street repaired car windows that were shattered from bullet holes.

Police are searching for a suspect and investigating a motive.
