Multiple vehicles shot at on I-95 in North Miami

NORTH MIAMI, Fla. – At least two vehicles were shot up Monday on Interstate 95 in North Miami.

Florida Highway Patrol Lt. Alex Camacho confirmed that a black BMW was heading north on the highway, attempting to exit at Northwest 125th Street when someone inside a dark-colored SUV fired at her car.

The woman’s car was struck multiple times by bullets on the driver’s side, but she was unharmed, Camacho said.

Meanwhile, a pregnant woman who was driving a white Nissan was caught in the crossfire.

Her car also was struck by multiple bullets, but she too was unharmed.

ā€œI’m so happy that nothing happened to them – only the car,ā€ the woman’s husband told Local 10 News.

According to authorities, the pregnant victim had continued driving north on I-95 after the shooting before exiting at Northwest 163rd Street and pulling over.

Camacho said detectives believe the vehicle from which the shots originated is possibly a gray or black Audi SUV.

No other details were immediately released.

Anyone with information regarding the shooting is asked to call authorities at *FHP (*347).
