Witnesses say a driver was stopped at a red light when another driver in a pickup truck pulled up alongside him, shot the victim in the face, and then took off.

The victim -- believed to be in his 50s or 60s -- managed to drive a few blocks to get help.

First responders were able to locate him in the area of Southwest 10th Street and 20th Avenue.

The victim was taken to Jackson Memorial Hospital’s Ryder Trauma Center for treatment.

His condition has not yet been released.

Authorities are now looking into what led up to the shooting.

Police have issued a “Be On The Lookout” alert for the driver, who is possibly behind a newer model Chevy pickup truck with an orange Home Depot bucket in the trailer.
