LAUDERHILL, Fla. – Lauderhill police are looking for a shooter who seriously injured a man Tuesday afternoon.
The shooting was reported around 4:30 p.m. at an apartment complex at 1192 North State Road 7.
According to Maj. Michael Santiago, officers approached one of the apartment units, where they found a man suffering from a gunshot wound.
The man was transported to Broward Health Medical Center in serious condition.
Santiago said it appears that two men were involved in an altercation inside the apartment, which led to the shooting.
He said the suspect fled the scene before officers arrived.
Police cordoned off the area and “conducted an extensive search for the suspect within the complex,” but were unable to locate him, Santiago said.
Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to call the Lauderhill Police Department or Broward County Crime Stoppers at 954-493-8477.
