Food safety alert: Kraft Heinz recalls Oscar Mayer product

MIAMI – Kraft Heinz Foods Company recalled about 2,400 pounds of ready-to-eat Oscar Mayer Ham & Cheese LOAF products.

The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service warned on Tuesday of “possible cross-contamination with under-processed products” after workers sliced the product on the same equipment that was used to slice the “under-processed” product without cleaning it in between runs.

Workers then shipped the ready-to-eat ham and cheese loaf produced on Oct. 10 to distribution centers in Ohio and Virginia. The Oscar Mayer Ham & Cheese LOAF products that are subject to the recall had codes from “07 Feb 2023 20:40 7B” through “07 Feb 2023 22:16 7B” on the label and bear the establishment number “Est. 537V” inside the USDA mark.

Kraft Heinz Foods Company is asking consumers who purchased these products to return them to the retailer or throw them away.
