A security guard working at the dealership told Schofield to leave, police said, but he responded by yelling obscenities and throwing a glass bottle.

The bottle went over the victim’s head, but then Schofield pulled a shiny object from his waistband and threw it at the security guard, police said.

That’s when, according to an arrest form, the security guard feared the shiny object was something sharp and fired one shot at Schofield, striking him in the arm.

Authorities were called and Schofield was taken into custody.

Investigators later located a metal fork, which was identified as the shiny object thrown at the security guard.

Schofield is facing multiple charges, including a felony charge for aggravated assault.
