Caught on camera: Equipment-filled work trailer swiped from Plantation man’s driveway

PLANTATION, Fla. – Police are investigating after a Plantation man’s work trailer was stolen from his driveway in broad daylight Monday.

Surveillance video taken at around 12:30 p.m. shows a truck pulling up to the Vincent Pugliese’s home, in the area of Northwest Sixth Street and 48th Avenue and making off with the trailer hitched behind it.

Video of the hitching itself was obscured.

The trailer was wrapped with the name of Pugliese’s business, Truebuilt Pros, and a photo of his father, whom the trailer used to belong to, prior to his passing from COVID-19 in 2022.

It contained all of Pugliese’s work tools, which he estimates were worth about $15,000.

“The trailer’s more sentimental to me than anything. You know, me and my dad got the trailer together, he passed from COVID, so that’s kind of -- that’s the real kicker,” Pugliese said. “The equipment inside, I could buy more equipment, but as far as the trailer, that’s kind of my last ride we took together. People are hurting and I get it. But you got to understand that other people are hurting as well, no matter how good their equipment looks.”

Pugliese’s now unable to work with all of his equipment stolen.

Anyone with information on the crime is asked to call Plantation police.
