DANIA BEACH, Fla. – A northeast Miami-Dade man faced 11 child pornography charges after being arrested outside his Dania Beach workplace Wednesday, but Broward County deputies say his stash of child sexual abuse material likely numbered in the thousands of files.

Diego JD Martinez, 21, who lives in the Ives Estates area, transmitted files of child sexual abuse material across platforms like Google and Instagram from February 2021 to July 2022, deputies said.

According to a Broward Sheriff’s Office arrest report, the files depicted children, some as young as 3, engaged in lewd poses or various sex acts with adults or other children.

Martinez was identified as part of an investigation by the South Florida Internet Crimes Against Children task force, the report states.

Deputies said after they arrested Martinez outside of the Dania Beach coffee shop where he works, he voluntarily logged onto an account, which had “several thousand stored files” contained in multiple folders.

According to the BSO report, a brief sampling of each folder revealed that the “overwhelming majority” of the files were of child sexual abuse material.

He was being held in the Broward Main Jail, according to BSO records.
