2 teens injured, suspect in custody following shooting near Fort Lauderdale Beach

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – Police responded to reports of a shooting Monday along Fort Lauderdale Beach.

Officers arrived at the scene along the 700 block of Seabreeze Boulevard around 7:30 p.m.

According to Fort Lauderdale police, upon arrival, they found a 17 year old and 15 year old that had both been shot.

Authorities said both victims were rushed to Broward Health Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police identified the shooting suspect as 16-year-old Tarell Greene.

Detectives said Green was arrested Monday and is facing two counts of aggravated battery with a deadly weapon.

Investigators are working to establish a motive for the shooting.
