Police said they also discovered a “training ring” with “rooster agitators” and a small shed containing cock fighting paraphernalia, syringes, steroidal medicine and agitators.

According to the report, Laguardia returned home as detectives were there and identified himself as the owner of the property.

Police said a woman who lives in an efficiency behind the main home confirmed that Laguardia owns the roosters and has had them for the six years that she has lived there.

Police said his father told detectives that an unknown man pays his son rent to keep the roosters there.

Laguardia was arrested on charges of possessing animals to fight, possession of animal fighting equipment and using a property for the use of animal fighting.

As of Tuesday afternoon, Laguardia was no longer showing in the jail database.
