OFF RIVIERA BEACH, Fla. – You have heard about snakes on a plane, but what about snakes on a boat?
A family near Riviera Beach got a big surprise last month when they opened their sock drawer on their houseboat.
They saw a beautiful Eastern Rat Snake staring right back at them.
They think the yellow fellow had crawled onto their boat to escape bad weather.
A friend went to grab the slithery snake, but it did not want to move.
The snake bit him on the hand. But not to worry, he only suffered a scratch and Eastern Rat Snakes are not venomous.
The family relocated the reptile to its natural habitat, AKA not on a boat!
