POMPANO BEACH, Fla. – Officials pushed back a popular holiday boat parade in Broward County due to poor weather Friday.
The Greater Pompano Beach Chamber of Commerce Pompano Beach Holiday Boat Parade, scheduled for Friday, has been postponed until Dec. 21 at 7 p.m.

It comes as strong wind gusts of up to 40 mph caused choppy waters across South Florida.
Officials in Fort Lauderdale canceled its Winterfest Boat Parade Friday.
It’s the first time in that parade’s more than five-decade history that inclement weather forced officials to scuttle it.
