Police chase ends in crash in North Miami

NORTH MIAMI, Fla. – Police were chasing a vehicle in northeastern Miami-Dade County Wednesday.

The chase began in Miami Shores, around Northeast 111th Street and 2nd Avenue.

That city’s police department is leading the investigation, according to Miami-Dade police.

The vehicle, a 2019 Hyundai Elantra, was believed to have been stolen, according to police.

The suspects crashed into a tree near Northeast Second Avenue and 133rd Street in North Miami.

Both suspects in the vehicle were taken into custody after trying to run away.

At one point two women may also have been in the car but bailed out before the crash.
