Bloomberg: Jeff Bezos buys 2 lots for $147M

MIAMI – With Jeff Bezos owning two houses, experts with Bloomberg estimate that just a few property owners of Miami-Dade County’s barrier island village of Indian Creek control fortunes of some $191 billion.

Bezos, 59, who has an estimated net worth of $173.3 billion, purchased Indian Creek properties facing Biscayne Bay for a combined $147 million from a Brazilian and a Venezuelan, according to Bloomberg.

Miami-Dade County records show one of the properties in reference sold for $79 million on Oct. 10. The previous owner had bought it for $28 million in 2014. County records show the other property in reference — which last sold in 1982 for $1.4 million — sold for $68 million on June 19.
