Vehicle fire spreads to home in northwest Miami-Dade

MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. – A fire that erupted from two vehicles spread to a home in northwest Miami-Dade Friday morning, authorities said.

A Miami-Dade Fire Rescue spokesperson told Local 10 News that the fire occurred near Northwest 85th Street and Northwest 25th Avenue, in the county’s West Little River neighborhood.

Upon arrival, MDFR crews said they found two vehicles fully engulfed in flames, with the fire spreading to a home nearby.

Authorities said firefighters quickly deployed a hose line and also utilized foam to extinguish the fire.

Local 10 News obtained photos of rescue crews inspecting the roof of the home as they continued to assess the damage.

MDFR said there were no reported injuries and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
