NORTH MIAMI, Fla. – Federal authorities asked for the public’s help Tuesday in identifying a crook who they believe stole money from an armored truck and ATM outside of a bank in North Miami last month.

According to the FBI, the robbery happened during the late morning of Jan. 31 at a Chase Bank at 850 NE 125th Street.

A photo shows the alleged thief wearing a black hoodie and walking away from the bank just moments after the incident was reported, an FBI spokesperson said.

A Local 10 News crew was at the scene when the crime was first reported, and police located a bag of money after it was placed inside a nearby trash can.

Investigators believe the alleged robber may reside in the vicinity of the bank.

Authorities also said the culprit has a unique tattoo on the back of his left hand.
