Felon accused of carrying stolen gun in Lauderhill

LAUDERHILL, Fla. – Lauderhill police officers accused a 47-year-old convicted felon of carrying a stolen firearm.

Police officers arrested Steven Ramos on Thursday and he appeared in bond court on Saturday before Broward County Circuit Judge Elijah Williams.

“I can’t help you out, Sir. That’s a lot of stuff you have there,” Williams told Ramos.

Ramos was facing charges of grand theft of a firearm, tampering with or fabricating physical evidence, possession of a weapon or ammunition by a convicted felon, and resisting an officer without violence.

Records show Ramos was at the main jail on Saturday afternoon in Fort Lauderdale. Williams set Ramos’s bond at $16,500, including $10,000 for the charge related to the felony conviction.
