Florida man sentenced for threatening to kill Supreme Court justice

MIAMI ā€“ A federal judge sentenced a 43-year-old Florida man to 14 months in prison for calling the U.S. Supreme Court and leaving a voicemail threatening to kill Chief Justice John Roberts.

The U.S. Attorneyā€™s Office announced Tuesday that U.S. District Judge Marcia Morales sentenced Neal Brij Sidhwaney to 14 months in prison on Monday in Jacksonville.

Sidhwaney, of Fernandina Beach, pleaded guilty to a charge of transmitting an interstate threat to kill in December. The former programmer was diagnosed with a delusional disorder.

Federal agents arrested Sidhwaney in July in Nassau County after he left a voicemail saying, ā€œI will [expletive] kill youā€ in August, according to federal prosecutors.
